The ATIZ BookDrive is the world's only scanner featuring a page turning mechanism to digitize a whole book completely automatically.
Art Sarasin, President of ATIZ, tells us that there are only two other fully automatic book digitizers, which use cameras (Kirtas and 4Digitalbooks), but these are huge machines. I guess Google and Amazon are using those for their book ripping ventures.
The ATIZ BookDrive is not much bigger than a standard desktop scanner. The price of the BookDrive is considerably high with about $35,000, making it only interesting for Universities or libraries, but not for home users. The Atiz BookDrive is scheduled to ship in March.

ATIZ has developed an automatic book scanner that is of a somewhat-reasonable size. There are a couple other automatic book scanners out there but they are huge machines according to Art Sarasin, president of ATIZ. This machine uses a page-turning mechanism. It connects via USB 2.0 and all you do is designate how many pages you want to scan and it does the rest of the work. If you want the ease of this, you will have to pay for it. They are currently taking a preorders and it will be available next month for a hefty $35,000.

و لكن الشركة لم تصرح بثمنه و لا أدري هل هو معروض للبيع أم هي مجرد خدمة يقدمونها , بمعنى هم يتكفلون بتصوير الكتب , و أنت تدفع مقابل هذه الخدمة.
جزاك الله خيراً أخي أبا مجاهد للتصحيح .. حيث أني وضعت سعر جهاز آخر.
أما بالنسبة لجهاز BookDrive فأظن أن الشركة لم تصرح بالسعر وطلبت المراسلة لمعرفته:
